Print Portfolio from poznan poland
Artists Image Resource is thrilled to have access to a portfolio of prints from the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznan, Poland, The exhibit will include a number of prints from the academy’s intaglio studio, made by students at the academy. Special thanks to Barbara Westman Slippery Rock University assistant professor for organizing the exhibition and allowing it to come to artists image resource.
The Poznan Academy of Fine Arts has been in existence for over 80 years. It was established in 1919 as the School of Decorative Arts and was later transformed into the State Institute of Art. In 1946 it was renamed the State Higher School of Fine Arts. In September 1996 the school obtained the status of an Academy and was once again renamed the Poznan Academy of Fine Arts. The school has always been a melting-pot for various concepts and many disciplines of art, from classical to contemporary, and never has a single artistic, designing or aesthetic doctrine been allowed to prevail.

Prints from the Aukland Print Studio (APS)
Una Mas, curated by John Pusateri, is an exhibition of hand-printed lithographs from Auckland Print Studio’s first year of production and engagement with practitioners. The exhibition opens June 12th in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania at Artists Image Resource and features work by a diverse group of people from a range of creative disciplines including architecture, landscape architecture, cast glass, engineering, and fine arts.
Una Mas features lithographs by: Dennis Aitken, Danelle Briscoe, Hamish Foote, Nuala Gregory, C. Peter Griffiths, Julian Hooper, Jacob Milne, Abdullah Motawaze, Ainsley O’Connell, Cerisse Palalagi, John Pusateri, David Rhodes, Kirsten Roberts, Philip Trott.
The primary objective of Auckland Print Studio is to initiate and facilitate projects with professional artists, architects and other design-based practitioners—to create an active laboratory environment within which these practitioners, students and the public will interact. APS’s fundamental interest is in how print and imaging processes connect with broader contemporary practice and how better to enable this. APS champions drawing, experimentation, and ultimately open and creative collaboration.
