AIR works in collaboration with arts organizations, schools, museums and individuals to design and execute print-related projects for students. These projects involve the creation of active lab environments that utilize printmaking and collaboration as vehicles for learning.

Projects generally involve collaborative partner organizations, classroom teachers and AIR staff. This collaborative team develops the project and hands-on printing is done with the students at AIR’s facility over a period of days, weeks or months. Students are placed in a professional artmaking environment where they are able to interact with professional artists. Lead artists take ultimate responsibility for project outcomes, however students can be directly involved with budgets, production schedules, materials purchasing, general project organization and creative work.
