ARTIST PROJECTS
2001 Ayanah Moor Printmaker
AIR worked with Ms. Moor on an alphabet of screenprints (26 editions) that explored African-American slang. Each print (22" x 30") included a definition of a word and an example of its usage.
2001 Kathleen Mucahy Glass Artist
AIR worked with Ms. Mulcahy on a suite of four color screenprints (22" x 30") that explored various forms often used in Ms. Mulcahy’s glass work. Digital textured were transferred to screens and hand manipulated to create the final images.
2001 Ron Desmett Painter
Mr. Desmett's project with AIR involved the creation of a suite of six screenprints (30" x 44") that utilized small printing screens, used as brushes, to create the work.
2001 Shelle Baron Graphic Artist
AIR worked with Ms. Baron to create a series of four large-scale paintings that utilized four color screenprinting as the basis for the work. Various other related work was created during Ms. Baron's residency.
2000 Curlee Raven Holton Printmaker
Mr. Holton's project involved screenprinting photo resists onto etching plates to create a series of large-scale etchings that included various screenprinted elements.

AIR worked with Mr. Pusateri on a project utilizing multiple printmaking processes (relief, intaglio, litho, screen) to create a suite of prints.

AIR worked with Mr. Loderstedt on a project utilizing various experimental photo-collagraph techniques to create a suite of prints.

AIR worked with Ms. Bellan-Gillen on a project utilizing traditional stone lithography techniques to create a suite of stone lithographs.

AIR worked with Mr. Lysak on a project utilizing four color process, photo plate lithography to create a suite of plate lithographs and screenprints.

AIR worked with Ms. Vullo on a project utilizing traditional and photo etching techniques to create a suite of prints.
1999 Craig Lucas Painter
AIR worked with Mr. Lucas on a collaborative project with Michael Loderstedt to create a “Bestiary” or series of 26 prints that used the alphabet as a structure to explore various animals and images. Various traditional and experimental process were used.
1999 Maritza Mosquera Painter, Printmaker
AIR worked with Ms. Mosquera on a project that involved the creation of an installation (approx. 20' x 30' x 10'H) that consisted of approx. 80 large-scale screenprints and various smaller objects and artists books.
1999 Don Harvey Sculptor
AIR worked with Mr. Harvey on a project that involved the creation of a four-panel screenprint entitled “Time Bursts”. Each panel was approx. 36" x 60" and a smaller scale edition of the work was created as part of the project.

AIR worked with Mr. Wilson on a project that involved the creation of a series of 40" x 50" banners, screenprinted on paper and canvas.

AIR provided print/Installation assistance on a project that involved the creation of an installation that included approx. 250 20" x 20" stretched canvas screenprints.
1998 Robert Williams Metals, Multi-media Artist
AIR provided print assistance on a project interpreting two years of sketchbook notations into a suite of 8 screenprints that were displayed as a wall of screenprints, laser prints and drawings.

AIR provided print assistance on a suite of etchings.
1997 Edward S. Eberle Ceramic Artist
AIR worked with Mr. Eberle to create a suite of five screenprints that explored the relationship between 2 dimensional drawing and 3 dimensional vessels. The prints were presented in proximity to the vessels as an installation.

AIR printed a suite of screenprints investigating the forms of “smashed cans” found, photographed, enlarged and screenprinted at 40" x 60".

AIR provided print and Installation assistance on a project that utilized large-scale photo screenprinting to print interpretations of photographs on 10 ft. square canvases. An edition of smaller prints was also part of the project.

AIR provided print assistance on a project utilizing materials from the Homestead Steel Mill in Pittsburgh, PA. to create a sculpture and a suite of prints.

AIR worked with Mr. Childers on an installation project that investigated strip-mining practices. A suite of four screenprints was presented in relation to various videos and objects.

AIR provided print experiments involving the screenprinting of ceramic glazes on ceramic platters and an edition of prints.

AIR worked with the Andy Warhol Museum on programs with Schenley High School students and students from the Pittsburgh High School for the Creative and Performing Arts sponsored by the Surdna Foundation.

AIR worked with the North Allegheny Public School System on a collaborative project with performance group Troika Ranch.
